Friday's Favorites...

While fashion sometimes rules my life, I am unfortunately unable to sustain myself on shoes and handbags alone, although I kind of wish that was possible. A girl has GOTTA eat! and when I do, I prefer to do so in the most unhealthy ways possible...Last night I got a crazy hankering for Banana's Foster.

This has been one of my favorite desserts for a long time but before last night I had never actually made it...I figured a little rum, a little butter, a little banana and a lotta ice cream couldn't be too difficult, my doubts surfaced when I thought I recalled a flame involved at some point or another in the recipe...so I consulted Martha for some advice...

Low and behold I found a recipe that didn't risk the fire department being called...its easy peasy...and SO GOOD!
Ingredients:
3-4 bananas
1/2 C of dark brown sugar
1/4 C of dark rum
2 T of butter
Heres a quick run-down of the basic steps...
*combine rum, butter and brown sugar in pan and simmer for 4-5 min. low-med heat
*chop bananas in half and length wise
*add bananas to sauce and cook till bananas are warmed through (1-2 min)
*Put over vanilla ice cream....and Voile!
Okay, now that I shared my newly found favorite dessert recipe...here are a few other favorites of mine at the moment... the perfect blush, a pink glossy lip, a light clean fragrance, neon pink nails and a unique silver bib necklace that says tribal and deco all in one.
Too Faced: LA VIE EN Rose Blush, REvlon Pink Pop Lip gloss, DKNY pure, Savina "Dazzle" nail color, bib collar necklace from Chico's (their jewelry selection is surprisingly good!)

Have a fabulous weekend!
