Last week I was eager to find out that I was given the amazing opportunity to intern for one of the most preferred umbrella manufacturers in the U.S., ShedRain. They have manufactured umbrellas and rain gear for companies such as, Banana Republic, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Gap among others. Although my love lies in "fashion," and umbrellas may seem a tad bit quirky, I have come to realize that these shielding and shading accessories can make quite the fashion statement themselves!
With various shapes, fabrics, designs and uses, ideas for umbrellas are constantly floating through my head...

I am almost ashamed to admit that I have never actually owned an umbrella, crazy being that I have been a Northwest dweller my entire life!

Umbrellas are great! They can totally make a fashion statement, especially the brightly colored ones, like yellow and red on a rainy day, makes a person stand out and just brightens things up!
