Modern laces...

American Apparel high-waisted swim brief

I love the versatility of this mesh/embroidered cardigan from Pixie Market.

Currently loving me some lace and lace crochet. It adds a romantic and feminine touch to any outfit, especially in pastel shades (I'm drooling over mint and lavender myself...). I love the juxtaposition of pairing a lace corset or body suit with rugged boyfriend jeans...unexpected yet it totally works!

Fresh and Foxy

Loving this braid...effortlessly chic

Just picked up the June issue of Allure, not going to lie...I really only purchased it for the simple fact that Megan Fox was featured on the cover. Good press, bad press, good actress, bad actress, all aside you cant deny she is absolutely gorgeous! Her look is timeless, and never over the top.

For the Allure shoot the makeup was very simple and reflected a fresh spring vibe. Her down-to-earth persona is definitely captured in the interview, confessing that she was a comic book nerd as a kid and finds an escape nowadays doing "couple-y domestic stuff" with her bf Brian Austin Green like watching TLC and the Discovery channel (a girl after my own heart) :) She goes on to admit she was and always has been a bit of a loner and says she requires more alone time than the average human being.

As for a dirty mouth she's been known to have in interviews...Allure tallied 24 f-bombs, publishing 6...(I think I love this girl!)

"Everyone blows sunshine up everyone else's ass, I hate receiving compliments; I hate being told I'm talented or people think I'm going to be a movie star. I always feel that it's forced or fake."

Great use of yellow against stone grey

Sauce tee from singer22

Im currently obsessed with the use of neon mixed with neutrals and nudes...Dree's Valentino dress is a perfect example. At first look I wasn't too sure how I felt about the silhouette but now I find it perfection.  Taking full advantage of Spring's nude trend, and mixing it with a flash of neon yellow makes it not only modern but completely whimsical.

Using neon as a statement piece is a more "wearable" way to do this trend. By incorporating a bright clutch to a neutral canvas is so fresh...This Jimmy Choo clutch I came across on net-a-porter is perfect but pricey at $1495, I found Gwen's L.A.M.B version just as cool and at an even cooler sale price of under $100 at Nordstrom.

Bringing brights into your home is not as scary as you might imagine...Rachel Whiting's interior photography that I found browsing desiretoinspire, is the perfect example. Using one piece or even an amazing bouquet of flowers will do the trick just the same, just make sure the palette of your surroundings stay achromatic.

Behind the Clouds....

Random photo shoot with the beau this past Fall

Loving this modern peacoat's massive collar...

Apparently it's almost June...but the weather here in the NW is more like November, wet, cool and depressing, hence this post's cold weather wear. I ran across 7 For All Mankind's Fall 2010 men's wear line on denimblog.com and was immediately reminded of my own boyfriend's casual style. While I'm the one who obsesses over clothes (his included) I have a feeling he'll be diggin' this line come Fall as well.

Beyond the lust worthy jackets I'm uber excited over the colored denim that they will be debuting in their Fall line, earth tones and even a rich bordeaux. Fall/Winter is by far my favorite seasons to dress for but seriously...Summer...will you ever get here?

Grecian Dreams and Turkish Delight...

Traditional Greek lunch in Athens, gyros, with tomato and red onion and tsatziki, bread with olive oil, and of course french fries. The most amazingly delicious meal.

Most restaurants and cafes in Istanbul had outdoor seating with brightly colored pillows and seat cushions.
View of the Acropolis at night from our hotel, the entire mountain was lit, the result...incredible!
Santorini was everything I imagined and more. White wall architecture, with vibrant splashes of yellow and topaz. I was lucky enough to capture these shots in the perfect light...This was a small bar right off of the main walk, the view was breathtaking to say the least. The use of sunflower table arrangements really popped against the white woodwork. Small chapels covered the shores of the islands of Greece.

These are just a few, and I do mean few of the hundreds of photos I took on a Turkey/Greece trip I went on two summers ago. There is not a day that goes by that I don't reflect on just how lucky I was to be able to see such amazing places. From the Turkish mosques to the grecian ruins, it was all so amazing...I couldn't begin this blog without sharing just a couple snaps that still bring me inspiration.

Unfinished Thoughts...

Procrastination gets the best of me, I must admit. After years of gathering random inspiration, I have finally decided to compile it somewhere where style mavens can feast. Where better than a blog dedicated to everything I find aesthetically compelling...

What drives your creativity?

As an art student studying Fashion Marketing I literally get inspired by EVERYTHING, people, architecture, fashion, color, food you name it. I am constantly surrounded by creative minds, and wouldn't have it any other way. Here's to checking one thing off of my never ending to-do list...
